Welcome to Second Grade!

Hello and welcome to my classroom website/blog. I am very excited to be your child's classroom teacher! We are going to have so much fun learning and growing together this year. I've had a wonderful summer with my family. I have been teaching second grade at the Robinson school for 16 years and absolutely love it! I am also married and have two daughters ages 2 and almost 4. This is a picture of my family and I enjoying a day at the beach!

I hope you consider following this blog by typing your email address in the "Follow by Email" box. This allows you to get an email when I have made a new post. My goal is to update the blog the beginning of each week which will help you know what your child will be doing in school that week.  I also like to share websites, games, and links with you throughout the year that you might find helpful exploring at home with your child.

Our first day of school will be on September 1st. The second graders will meet their teachers in the gym. We will spend the first few days getting to know one another, exploring our classroom, and discussing expectations and routines.
